The DOing and BEing of Parenting
About Becky Scott, CPCC ACC
I have a passion for personal growth and development. It is deeply rewarding helping families and individuals build confidence for themselves and create optimism in their life. I enjoy making a positive difference with young adults transitioning to college and the working world, as well as helping families overcome the confusion and turmoil of a learning disability.
I received my formal coach training from the Coaches Training Institute (C.T.I.) and became a Certified Professional Coach in 2010.
I have developed a coaching division at The Center For Psychological Services in Ardmore, Pa. I am President Elect 2013 of the International Coaching Federation (I.C.F.) Philadelphia Chapter.
One of our sons was diagnosed with a learning disability at an early age. Parenting him required finding unorthodox solutions to the emotional and scholastic problems that presented themselves. During those challenging years we consciously taught critical skills: resiliency, self-esteem, and determination along with others, to help him find his own path to success and fulfillment.
With my children successfully launched into adulthood, professional coaching was a natural next step. I had a strong desire to take all that I had learned and build a vehicle for helping others.
Prior to becoming a professional coach, I managed a busy household with my husband, raised two children through college and into adulthood and was an active community volunteer. During that time of my life, volunteering in leadership roles and serving in multiple board positions for community organizations brought joy and fulfillment.
I am happily married, love hiking, mountain sports, travel, cooking, knitting, reading and spending time with my family.
